Eric
J. Holtz – Disc Jockey , Karaoke Jockey, Emcee, Video and Live Sound Engineer Eric J. Holtz, owner of Holtz Entertainment and a native San Antonian, is married to Adriana Martinez-Holtz. Beginning with a passion and love for music, sound and lighting almost 25 years ago , Eric has always raised the bar and strived higher to a level and degree of excellence uncommon in today’s world.
Eric currently leads up the Holtz Entertainment team and handles the more demanding and complicated jobs such as full music video shows, ceremonies with live musicians, highly technical lighting shows, and events with large audiences.
Eric is a musician with voice and trumpet as his instruments. He has sung with an international level competitive chorus and also was the lead singer in an a-cappella quartet. He is a visionary, a perfectionist and the driving force and spirit for what has evolved into one of San Antonio ’s premier Entertainment and Lighting Companies. In 1995, Eric started Holtz Entertainment with one goal in mind – “To give the highest quality of Entertainment to the Client.” Eric and the Holtz Entertainment team have exploded onto the scene and throughout the companies history have continued to grow and focus on offering a complete package and line of entertainment services. Today - DJ, Karaoke, Live Band Sound Reinforcement, Technical Live Sound Reinforcement, Full Blown Video, Light and Sound Shows make up the broad offering of services. Although DJ, Emcee and Lighting services for Weddings and Corporate Events have dominated the bookings in the past several years, Eric is still deeply immersed in the art of very technically demanding live sound reinforcement, theatrical production and performance. Working with many regional and national acts and their engineers from every genre and style of music from Hip-Hop to Acoustic to Country to Rock to Christian to Choral has given him a greater appreciation and understanding for performance standards and techniques.
No stranger to show production and the role of Master of Ceremonies, Eric has produced numerous shows and musicals with some performances entertaining audiences in multiple cities with as many as 225 performers on stage for a single event. With a knowledge base as vast as a text book in live audio reproduction, musical styles and the entire field of show, light and sound production, Eric is one of the most humble and down to earth individuals willing to share his experiences and give technical insight and advice on any subject.
